Pineapple Ginger Cheese Spread with Nut Mix Coating
Makes 6-8 servings
Ingredients:
1 package of 180 g. of Philadelphia cream cheese
4 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons pineapple jam
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
1 tablespoon honey
¼ teaspoon fine salt
¾ cup Naú Cranberry and Mango nut Mix
Plastic film wrap
Directions:
- In a medium bowl, mix the cream cheese, cheddar, pineapple jam, ginger, salt and honey. Combine everything well until smooth.
- In a bowl of suitable size, place a piece of plastic film to cover the entire bottom. Place the cheese mixture inside the bowl and on the plastic film, flattening it with a spatula so that it is uniform. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, chop the Naú cranberry and mango nut Mix, which will be used to cover the cheese dome.
- When the mixture is firm, turn the bowl over to unmold and remove the plastic film. Do this on the plate where you are going to serve it. Place the chopped nut mix on the cheese dome, using your hands to press so that it sticks over the entire surface. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
