Deli Style Tuna Salad Sandwiches

This week I made these sandwiches and they were delicious! The recipe for this tuna salad is creamy and has a secret ingredient: a little soy sauce.
The other secret is to use a tuna that has a delicate flavor, like the one we show you in the video we already shared on IG.

Deli Style Tuna Salad Sandwiches
Makes 2 servings
Ingredients:
2 -84 gm cans of tuna fillets, drained
¼ cup finely diced onion
¼ cup finely diced celery
½ tablespoon soy sauce
½ cup mayonnaise
juice of half a lime, or to taste
salt and pepper to taste
Bread of choice (buns or sliced)
Edam cheese slices
Butter lettuce
sliced seedless cucumber
Instructions:
- Drain the tuna cans of their liquid as much as possible.
- Place the tuna, celery, and onion into a large bowl. Add the mayonnaise, soy sauce, lime juice and salt and pepper. This is best if left in the refrigerator overnight, or at least a few hours.
- Strain the tuna of any water that may have accumulated. Add more mayo as required and serve.
- To assemble your sandwiches, add butter lettuce, cheese slices, tuna and sliced cucumber to the bottom of your bread of choice. Top with the other half and enjoy!
