Soy & Honey Chicken Wings

A delicious and easy lunch or dinner, these chicken wings are best served with white rice.

Soy & Honey Chicken Wings

Makes 6 servings

Ingredients:
3 lbs chicken wings skin on, cut in half at the joint.
Marinade/Sauce:
10 tbs soy sauce, reduced sodium
6 tbsp honey
4 garlic cloves minced
2 tbs apple cider vinegar
4 teaspoon sesame oil
2 tablespoon sesame seeds
1 spring onion, finely sliced
salt and pepper, for seasoning

Preparation:

  1. In a large bowl, add all the marinade ingredients and mix to combine.
  2. Season the chicken wing pieces with salt and pepper. Add to the bowl with the marinade and toss to coat.  Let is marinade for 30 minutes on your counter.
  3. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 400F and line a large baking sheet, or two medium ones with parchment or aluminum foil for easy cleaning.
  4. Transfer the marinated chicken to the baking tray (along with all the extra juices/marinade from the container), arrange the wings on the tray so that the skin is facing up. Bake for 35 – 45 minutes until wings are well browned and a little crispy around the edges.
  5. Transfer to a serving plate, garnish with sesame seeds and thinly sliced green part of spring onion.
