Happy Hour: Magic Margarita

This post is also available in / Esta entrada también está disponible en ESPAÑOL (SPANISH)

A fun variation on the classic Margarita, we used Cristalino Tequila Volcán de Mi Tierra to give it a more complex flavor with its tasting notes of vanilla, caramel, cooked agave and spices.  Volcán de Mi Tierra is made in Jalisco, Mexico with high quality agaves and is among the brands that are recognized as additive free.

Instead of adding salt to the rim of the glass, we balanced the cocktail with a touch of saline solution, find the recipe below. We recommend you use agave to make the syrup, which you will also find how to prepare below.

Happy Hour: Red Margarita

Mix all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker and serve in a short glass with ice, you can use any type of orange liqueur such as Triple Sec. The magic of this Margarita is floating 1 oz of red wine over the cocktail, creating a red stripe that elevates the presentation of this cocktail and reminds us of fall sunsets.

You need a spoon and a dropper to ensure success in creating this layer, simply drop the wine slowly using the spoon and letting it fall with the dropper so that it floats on top of the cocktail.

You can find Volcán de Mi Tierra Tequila in Vinoteca stores.
