Soy & Honey Chicken Wings

A delicious and easy lunch or dinner, these chicken wings are best served with white rice.

Soy & Honey Chicken Wings
Makes 6 servings
Ingredients:
3 lbs chicken wings skin on, cut in half at the joint.
Marinade/Sauce:
10 tbs soy sauce, reduced sodium
6 tbsp honey
4 garlic cloves minced
2 tbs apple cider vinegar
4 teaspoon sesame oil
2 tablespoon sesame seeds
1 spring onion, finely sliced
salt and pepper, for seasoning
Preparation:
- In a large bowl, add all the marinade ingredients and mix to combine.
- Season the chicken wing pieces with salt and pepper. Add to the bowl with the marinade and toss to coat. Let is marinade for 30 minutes on your counter.
- Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 400F and line a large baking sheet, or two medium ones with parchment or aluminum foil for easy cleaning.
- Transfer the marinated chicken to the baking tray (along with all the extra juices/marinade from the container), arrange the wings on the tray so that the skin is facing up. Bake for 35 – 45 minutes until wings are well browned and a little crispy around the edges.
- Transfer to a serving plate, garnish with sesame seeds and thinly sliced green part of spring onion.
