Ginger and Turmeric Wellness Shot

Since the early January I’ve been making this powerful wellness shot: ginger, turmeric and citrus. This batch lasts me about 7 days, taking a shot every morning.

I try to make it as soon as I get back from the market, as the fruits and veggies are freshest. I couldn’t get fresh turmeric here, but if you can, I’d add a few chunks of fresh turmeric instead of powdered.

I drink about 1.5-2 0z. each morning, after my kombucha! After the recipe you’ll find the reel to see the step by step.

Ginger and Turmeric Wellness Shot

Ingredients:
1 3-inch piece of fresh ginger
2 oranges, peeled and cut into pieces
1 grapefruit, peeled and cut into pieces
Juice of 2 lemons
1 cup water
1 teaspoon turmeric
¼ teaspoon black pepper
pinch of cayenne pepper, optional

Directions:

  1. Blend water, ginger, orange, grapefruit and lemon. Strain. Return to the blender.
  2. Add 1 teaspoon of turmeric and ¼ teaspoon of pepper.
  3. Strain again, and keep in a glass jar in the fridge, and take a shot every morning.
