Mother’s Day Idea: Champagne in Rose Ice Cubes

This post is also available in / Esta entrada también está disponible en ESPAÑOL (SPANISH)

We have a fantastic idea that you can use to decorate your table for Mother’s Day: rose ice cubes. It consists of placing roses inside molds to make ice, then filling them with water. Depending on the size of the rose, it may be necessary to place them a little to the side.

By pouring the water into the mold spaces, the roses will float. Place something on top of the mold to keep them submerged while the water freezes and forms the cubes. These cubes are only decorative, and their purpose is to decorate a chiller bucket where the bottle of sparkling wine will be placed.

Preferably use a transparent chiller or something that can be used for this purpose and show off the rose ice. Otherwise, if you don’t get a clear ice box, just place the pink ice cubes on top of the ice so they are visible. It looks beautiful and is such a special detail to celebrate Mom.

We recommend Moёt & Chandon Rosé Imperial, this sparkling wine is distinguished by its fruity flavor and its composition is mostly Pinot Noir. Its color is pink with amber tones. The notes on the palate are berries and peaches.

Here you can find other ways to enjoy Moёt & Chandon Rosé Imperial, in the past, we have paired it with a Watermelon and Feta Salad, which is a wonderful pairing.

You can find it at Vinoteca stores.

Rose Ice Cubes

Ingredients:
ice cube tray
roses
water
Moёt & Chandon Rosé Imperial
Wine chiller bucket
regular ice

Preparation:

  1. Cut the stem from the roses all the up to the base of the rose.
  2. Place them face down, and stem side up inside each of the holes on the ice tray
  3. Fill with water. The roses will float, so use something to cover the tray to keep them submerged while they freeze.
  4. Remove from the ice tray and place inside a wine chiller bucket as decoration along with regular ice to keep your favorite sparkling wine chilled.
