Apple Breakfast Toasts

This apple toast is easy enough to make for a quick breakfast, and if you include it with an egg dish you have a complete meal. It’s also great for an afternoon snack and can be made with your favorite nut butter. We used creamy peanut butter for ours, but you can use almond or cashew butter as well.
As a sweetener we used honey, but you can replace it with maple or agave syrup. Fresh crisp Washington Fuji apples give this toast recipe a delicious sweetness and crunch. Try to cut thin slices to cover the entire length of the bread slice.
As a final touch, your favorite crunchy granola. We hope you enjoy this breakfast treat as much as we did.Helga & Kitty
Apple Breakfast Toasts
Makes 1 serving, 2 toasts
Ingredients:
2 slices of toasted bread
almond or peanut butter
1 Fuji Washington Apple, sliced
granola
honey, for serving
Preparation:
- Toast your bread slices.
- Spread each slice with almond or peanut butter.
- Cut the apple in half, and slice it thinly horizontally.
- Place the sliced apple over the nut butter.
- Sprinkle granola and drizzle with honey. Serve immediately.
