Apple Iced Tea

This apple iced tea is so refreshing and delicious. And it doesn’t take a lot of work to do! The base is black tea, which is strong and full-bodied. Those of us who like coffee will like this tea. We only need to infuse a few bags of black tea in hot water that is close to boiling but has not boiled. Let the infusion come to room temperature, or you can make it ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator.
When it’s at least room temperature, the next step is to add apple juice to the black tea. You can use nectar or clear apple juice, whichever you like best. And to give it even more flavor, the apple slices as you see in our photos.
If you want a slightly tarter flavor, you can use Washington Granny Smith apples or if you like it on the sweeter side, you can use Washington Fuji Apples. Crushed mint leaves add a touch of freshness. You can also add lemon juice and/or honey, to taste.
Serve very cold, and over ice with apple slices to garnish. It is an out-of-the-ordinary beverage that you can serve for your next gathering!
