The summer days are around the corner, and this Easy Grilled Shrimp recipe is perfect for either an appetizer or a salad addition. With a few ingredients and a delicious shortcut, you can have an easy and satisfying meal. To add a kick to the dish, we used Mondu’s Jalapeño Lime sauce, giving it the perfect complement to the paprika and garlic.
When cooking shrimp, we do have a few pointers:
- Peel and devein the shrimp: If you like, you can keep the tails, but removing them is ok as we did.
- To marinate the shrimp, as it includes heat (jalapeño and lime sauce), make sure to leave them marinating for 15 minutes, and up to an hour. The acid from the sauce can cook the shrimp without any heat, which is what happens with a long marinade time.
- No grill? No problem! Use a stovetop grill pan and cook the shrimp for 3 minutes per side. Make sure not to overcook them as they can lose their juiciness and turn rubbery.
You can find Mondu sauces and spices in your favorite supermarket.
