We all know mineral water, but not all of them are of the same quality, some contain slightly high levels of sodium and have a metallic aftertaste on the palate. For some time now we have been including Perrier Carbonated Mineral Water in our household purchases and we like to always keep some in the fridge so they are very cold, and we will tell you why:
- It is so refreshing!
- It contains essential minerals, naturally.
- Among its minerals, it has magnesium. This mineral aids in digestion, so after a good meal, drinking a glass of mineral water will help eliminate the sensation of fullness. This mineral also has cardiovascular benefits.
- It cleanses the palate between meals or drinks. For example, if wine lovers will be tasting different wines, drinking mineral water between each one cleanses the palate. The bubbles stimulate the receptors on the tongue to perceive new flavors.
We love that this mineral water has zero sugar, and zero added sodium. Its history dates back 150 years, its origin is French, and it is a premium quality natural mineral water. Its bubbles are natural since the water is obtained underground, protected from human contamination, and it is bottled at the source.
The quality of its bubbles makes it ideal for preparing cocktails, and mocktails and drinking them on its own or for preparing refreshing drinks like the one we share here.
Among its presentations and flavors, we can find the slim can and glass bottle for natural Perrier, and the slim can is available in grapefruit, strawberry, and lime flavors. All with subtle natural flavors. You can find them at Vinoteca stores.
For this recipe, we used natural Perrier, natural lemon juice, and simple syrup. For the perfect balance between sweetness and acidity, we used equal parts and fill the rest with mineral water. Try it, you will like it as much as we do!
