Blog Love: December 2014

Can you believe it? This is the last Blog Love of 2014. It’s been a long year, with ups and downs, triumphs, changes… and were we learned a lot in our little kitchens. For example, everything is better roasted (proof: pumpkin, squash, broccoli), we love a good loaf (calamansi & poppy-seed, pumpkin and carrot), our slow cookers make great pulled pork, and last but not least, waffles can be enjoyed both in sweet and savory dishes.
But also, we found so many new blogs to follow… and our Pinterest Boards are all full of new ideas for recipes to try on 2015. First, The Cooking Channel has a list of the 5 Must-Bake Holiday Cookies, Annie’s Eats with a duo in this Blog Love: Salty Honey Pie and Creamy Eggnog Cookie Bars. Now, a blog we’ve been rediscovering is Pastry Affair and it has some gorgeous looking Chocolate Sugar Cookies.. and a new follow, Hello Natural has a Healthy Berry Yogurt Brûlée. KitchenAid shares an Overnight Cinnamon French Toast Bake, perfect for Christmas morning, so you can get out of the kitchen and focus on spending time with your family. It can be made ahead and baked on such morning. One of our favorite blogs, Food52 has a No-Peel Apple Crisp, Bijouxs has a recipe for the perfect Christmas Molasses Cookies, and last but not least Shutterbean posted this amazing Blackberry Thyme infused Vodka. Aren’t these recipes all gorgeous?
We hope you enjoy them as much as we did, and may these days be filled with joy, peace in your hearts and plenty of love. From our families to yours, Happy Holidays!
