Nectarine Pineapple Smoothie

You know how some smoothies are all you need for breakfast? This Nectarine Pineapple Smoothie makes a great one to start-up your day, but make sure to carry around a snack for mid-morning. However, I found it perfect to have it after working out. This smoothie is packed with Vitamin C and definitely hydrates me back after an hour session of yoga.
This smoothie is easy to prepare as the rest of the ones we publish, and definitely gets its sweetness from the fruit, so make sure that the fruit you use is ripe enough. If you don’t find a very tasteful pineapple, you can add ½ tablespoon of honey. That should give it a sweet taste and an energy kick!

Nectarine Pineapple Smoothie
A Foodies’ Kitchen Original Recipe
Yield: 1 serving
Ingredients:
1 nectarine, pitted and quartered
1 cup fresh pineapple, cut into 1-inch pieces
½ cup orange juice
crushed ice
Directions:
- In a blender, pulse the pineapple, nectarine and orange juice until they are combined.
- Add the ice and pulse until smooth.
- Pour into a glass and serve.
