Banana Blueberry Smoothie

I am more and more a fan of breakfast-on-the-go. Specially this Banana Blueberry Smoothie (at least this week!). As I shared before, I am doing Yoga. It’s been a while since I’ve done some serious workouts, and a few weeks ago I found this little gym nearby that offers plenty of services, including yoga and pilates. I absolutely love them both. And it is working: every single muscle in my body hurts. Even some muscles that I didn’t know could hurt. I feel with more energy and some clothes start to fit/feel better. The best of all this is that both my yoga teachers say I have good posture and I am improving each day that goes by.
So, if I am heading out the door early in the morning for one of the classes, I skip breakfast (I have a small tangerine or a few bites of pineapple) and have something when I come back home. And this smoothie is perfect. It’s sweet (if I need an extra boost of energy I add a teaspoon of honey), keeps me satisfied until lunch time and… makes me drink less coffee.
I’ve tried other fruit/veggies combinations, and except for the blueberries and spinach, this is at the top of my list. I love re-purposing the tea or juice glass bottles for the smoothies since I can head to the office with my smoothie in hand. We hope you like them as much as we do… and this makes you make better food choices throughout your day.
